She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, which allows her to bring specialized knowledge to clients navigating concerns related to disability, health conditions, and employment.
Before becoming a therapist, Sophie worked as a business professional, giving her a unique perspective on workplace stress, career transitions, and the challenges many people face while balancing personal well-being with professional responsibilities.
Therapy style:
Sophie takes a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy, and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients in meeting their personal goals.
She works with adolescents and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating important life transitions. She has a special interest in supporting clients through changes related to school, career development, relationships, and adjusting to new roles in life.
She also works with individuals managing chronic pain, illness, injury, or disability, helping them process the emotional impact of these experiences while developing practical strategies for daily life and meaningful work.
Sophie combines mental health counseling with evidence-based vocational rehabilitation principles to help clients build confidence, improve emotional well-being, and move toward fulfilling personal and professional goals.
Sophie is open minded and enjoys working with clients from a variety of cultures and communities. She is mindful of cultural and identity-based perspectives, and values the insight and strength that diverse backgrounds bring to the therapeutic process.
A note from Sophie…
